The Grape
Seyval: (pronounce say-VAHL) A French hybrid grape variety, Seyval is the earliest grape to ripen in the vineyard – often in mid-August. Seyval was the first variety we planted in 1979 at our main vineyard in Treloar, Missouri. This variety produces many large clusters per vine that often must be thinned at veraison.
Blumenhof grows approximately 1000 Seyval vines.
