Sometimes, no news is good news.

This generally applies to us here at Blumenhof.  Since we opened our doors in 1987, not much has changed.  We’re still growing grapes and making wine.  We’re still independently owned and operated by the same (actual) family.  We still have the same (actual) winemaker.  No news there.

On the other hand, we do have a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT for you:

(with the sole exception of New Year’s Day).

Again, this is not news.  We’ve been open 7 days a week for many years.  Until now, so have most of the other wine producers on Highway 94.

But this winter, change is coming—we saw it in the news. Apparently, some of the wineries owned by the Conglomerate to the East are closing for the season.  Details are a bit sketchy but we thought you might want to know that this change does not include Blumenhof.

In fact, we’re staying open this winter with all the extras you’ve come to expect at Blumenhof:  award-winning wines, free wine tasting, cozy indoor seating, fires in the fireplace and/or the outdoor firepit, friendly and good-looking staff, Friday afternoon Happy Hour, and entertainment every weekend as follows:

Friday 12/29
MARK MOEBECK (classic rock), 4 – 7

Saturday 12/30
KEN SCHMITT (classic rock/country), 2 – 5

Sunday 12/31 (NYE)
STEVE LESLIE (rock), 2 – 5

Saturday 1/6
DAN SPROAT (acoustic standards), 2 – 5

Saturday 1/13
GIBSON GIRLS (acoustic folk), 2 – 5

Saturday 1/20
MARK MOEBECK (classic rock), 2 – 5

Saturday 1/27
KEN SCHMITT (classic rock/country), 2 – 5

Plus, we’ll still have HAPPY HOUR ($3 wine by the glass) every Friday from 4 – 6, and Sippin’ Sunday (1/2 price bottle of wine – limit one per customer) from noon – 1 every Sunday!
